The first edition of this popular casebook was published in 1985. Norman Dorsen was a co-author on the first two editions. Stephen Gillers is the sole author of the third through ninth editions. The first four editions were published by Little, Brown & Co., which then sold its law book publishing operation to Aspen. Regulation of Lawyers: Statutes and Standards (with Roy Simon and Andrew Perlman) (Aspen Law & Business) This is a compilation with editorial comment. The first volume was published in 1989. Updated versions have been published annually thereafter. As of the 2009 edition, Andrew Perlman has joined as a co-editor. Regulation of the Legal Profession (Aspen 2009). This is a 400+ page book in the Aspen \"Essentials\" series explains ethics rules and laws governing American lawyers and judges.
