But if the gift is\n14 being given along with all of these other behaviors where, you\n15 know, there's inordinate access, there's deceptive techniques\n16 being used to build a relationship of trust, there's isolation\n17 of the child, and then desensitization to touch and sexual --\n18 sexual abuse, then the gift-giving is occurring within the\n19 context of the grooming process for the purposes of sexual\n20 abuse.\n21 Q. Is grooming a concept used to predict whether an adult is\n22 going to sexually abuse a child?\n23 A.
