I have never married, and I do not have\n4\nchildren, something I always wished for when I was a little\n5\ngirl. I shy away from meeting new people and have difficulty\n6\nmaking new friends because I fear they too could be associated\n7\nwith Epstein and Maxwell and their enablers and\n8\nco-conspirators.\n9\nTo this day I attend meetings to treat alcoholism, but\n10\nI have had numerous relapses, and I cannot always control that.\n11\nI know that only by the grace of God do I continue to live. I\n12\nhave attempted suicide twice since the abuse -- both near\n13\nfatal.\n14\nLast year, I traveled to New York to attend Maxwell's\n15\ntrial. It was therapeutic to hear the testimony of the four\n16\nbrave victim-witnesses, whose experience paralleled my own, to\n17\nknow that I was not alone, and that our story was finally being\n18\ntold for the world to hear.\n19\nI am grateful the jury believed the victims and\n20\nreturned a guilty verdict, but a question still tears at my\n21\nsoul. After all of this, how can this five-star general of\n22\nthis enormous sex-trafficking conspiracy involving hundreds, if\n23\nnot thousands, of vulnerable girls and young women over three\n24\ndecades continue to maintain her innocence?
