In fact, she's tried to help people instead of get\n9 tickets, but nonetheless, she spent 75 days in the SHU. Now,\n10 the SHU is normally reserved for persons who get tickets. It's\n11 a disciplinary action. And I think society, we know that, is\n12 now moving away from the isolation because we know that it\n13 causes significant mental hardship. It's debilitating. It\n14 causes future mental hardship once you get released from the\n15 SHU.\n16 Ms. Days has spent 75 days in the SHU. That is\n17 absolutely, positively incredible, in my opinion, because I've\n18 not had a client do that who has not had a ticket. So because\n19 of that, because of the other reasons I've articulated, I\n20 firmly believe that Ms. Days has been specifically deterred.\n21 I don't like to talk about general deterrence because\n22 I don't think that works. I think it's -- well, that's my own\n23 issues, but I do think she's been specifically deterred. I\n24 think that she has been really punished. I think the five\n25 years will be significantly more than time she's spent before.\nSOUTHERN DISTRICT REPORTERS, P.C.\n(212) 805-0300\nDOJ-OGR-00004759",
