Consistent with that and my juror anonymity order during trial, I will permit that to continue.\n2\n3 I received a letter dated March 1st, 2022 from\n4 Mr. Spodek. In that letter, Mr. Spodek, you informed me that\n5 Juror 50 would invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege against\n6 self-incrimination at this hearing. As you see from my\n7 February 24 opinion, Mr. Spodek, I am going to ask Juror 50\n8 questions today about responses that he gave during the jury\n9 selection process in the case of United States v. Maxwell.\n10\n11 Does it remain your client's intention to assert his\n12 Fifth Amendment privilege in response to those questions?\n13 MR. SPODEK: Yes, your Honor.\n14 THE COURT: I'm going to confirm on the record with\n15 your client, Mr. Spodek:\n16 Juror 50, is it your intention to assert your Fifth\n17 Amendment privilege in response to the questions I'm going to\n18 ask you today?\n19 JUROR 50: Yes, your Honor.\n20 THE COURT: All right.
